Motorcycle Safety Avoiding Accidents in Traffic Michael Brugnoni eBook Reviews

  • This was a small publication, 263 "pages", so it was more of an outline of safety issues, rather than an exhaustive book, but was centered appropriately on the rider. In it was the first mention I've noticed on the problem with darkened windows on the vechicle in front of the rider. All the points were basic, and nothing new, but expressed in different ways to further impress safety on the MC rider, helping us to further realize that the majority of rider safety and crash avoidance depends upon us and our ability to correctly "read" and react to our constantly changing riding environment "Doing the Driver's Job For Them", "Predicting the Future", "Profiling Drivers", and similar chapter titles give an idea of the author's approach. It was a low cost, fast, and useful read to me.
  • What do "cagers" say when they kill a biker? "I didn't "SEE" him/her?" Yes, that GIANT CELL PHONE WAS blocking your vision and u were totally engrossed in that conversation u were having with your GF weren't u honey. RIDE TO BE SEEN!!! HiViz SAFETY LIME GREEN with reflective tape VESTS, LIGHTS! SLOW DOWN, STAY WAY BACK and EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!!!! Left turners are KILLERS!!! gravel is ball bearing on the road, so are leaves, crushed soda cans, boxes, oil/antifreeze dripped on the road, water on manhole covers/painted lines/turn arrows, R/R tracks and their approach/departure aprons, animals, kids, people don't pay ANY ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY ARE DOING and WILL RUN RIGHT OUT IN FRONT OF A PERSON in car/truck/bike... scooter whatever. as they are a "million miles away" in thought. That will look good on someone's "marker" (Read Headstone); "I was deep in thought about ... what I was going to have for dinner, my bf/gf, school/work that I wandered out into traffic and.... here I lay... 6' under"
  • A well written piece on riding smart in congested areas. Brugnoni provides a well put together blueprint, entailed with specific strategies, to stay away from the inevitable...accidents! I would recommend Brugnoni's book, for the rider who gets anxious in the city. For any rider who wants to stay safe and enjoy the freedom of motorcycling, equip yourself with Brugnoni's masterpiece. For those who dare, please stay safe out there!!
  • This book presented no new earth-shattering ideas or approaches to safety. It did go over good common sense ways to survive in traffic. I thought it was a good, short, reminder/refresher on motorcycle traffic safety.
  • Riding a bike is a never ending learning experiences. This book does a good presentation riding your bike with traffic.
  • The book covers topics discussed by other authors, yet I still garnered something new from reading it. A quick read and easy to understand. Diagrams or pictures would have made it five out of five stars.
  • Very little content I expected more eg road hazards, approaching traffic lights etc.
  • One gets what they pay for, I guess. It didn't cost much and it didn't contain anything that isn't common knowledge to serious riders. At least the language appeared to be fresh. Didn't resent the purchase at all. Just didn't get any extras.
