- This is an unusual book since it requires the reader to go deeper and experience that story on a personal level. Garrotto marvelously explores the beautify and depth of meaning of Hugo's passages with reference to his life. He then encourages the reader to apply the "lesson" to his/her own life. Garrotto is a role mode for this kind of interpretation and application. If only all of us could open up to those around us in such deep and meaningful ways.
